THE LAUNCH OF PANAY CARD, ILOILO'S FIRST EVER TRANSIT CARD

On April 4th, the transportation industry in Iloilo City witnessed a monumental change with the launch of PANAY CARD, hosted by the Metro Iloilo Transport Service Cooperative (MITSCOOP) in Brgy. Tagbak Jaro. The project allows commuters to pay for their rides seamlessly and securely through a cashless payment system using a single card across all MITSCOOP bus lines in the city.

The launching was graced by distinguished guests of honor, including Richard Osmeña, the Regional Director of LTFRB Region VI, and Eunice Zhou, Head of Regional Management of G&BU Shanghai Sunmi Technology Co. They praised the vision and foresight of the stakeholders involved in the project, stating that the PANAY CARD has the potential to transform the transportation industry in the region.

Eunice Zhou particularly commended the state-of-the-art technology used in the PANAY CARD and the Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS), which is compliant with global standards. She highlighted the potential for a long and fruitful partnership between her company and the stakeholders involved in the project.

MITSCOOP Chairman, Josemarie De Los Reyes, and Nfinite IT Solutions Services Inc CEO, Benjie Javier, led the successful launch event, which saw attendance from various industries, including government officials, business leaders, and media representatives. De Los Reyes described the launch of the PANAY CARD as a historic moment for the transportation industry in the region. He expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in the project and acknowledged the dedication and hard work of those who made the project a reality.
